I received this message from Jessica Kimmick last week - I am sorry it took so long to post - but I needed assistance to make the supporting documents available for your viewing.

From Crystal -- Following are my thoughts on this issue:
In my personal opinion, I feel that these power lines only pose a problem in regards to motorized recreation in the Yacolt Burn because BPA has historically refused to come to the table to work with the recreational user groups or DNR staff in a constructive manner. They prefer to look the other way while crime and chaos are occuring on the lands they are responsible for maintaining and then blame others for their problems.
We might consider attending a few of these meetings to let them know that we will support them only if they start working with us to improve recreation and create a safer more enjoyable experience in the Yacolt Burn. If you are unable to attend any of the meetings listed below, please go online at: www.bpa.gov/go/i5 or you can call them at (800) 230-6593.
Following is the logistical information for the remaining 3 public comment meetings:
Tuesday, November 3, 2009
4pm - 7pm
Liberty Middle School
1612 NE Garfield Street
Camas, WA 98607
Thursday, November 5, 2009
4pm - 7pm
Gresham Holiday Inn
2752 NE Hogan Drive
Gresham, OR 97030
Saturday, November 7, 2009
1pm - 4pm
Hazel Dell Grange
7509 NE Hazel Dell Avenue
Vancouver, WA 98665
I cannot attend Tuesday or Thursday due to prior committments, but I plan on attending the Saturday, November 7th meeting in Vancouver. I would greatly appreciate any support that any of you can provide.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter and I look forward to seeing some of you there...

Hello.
Hope you are doing well today.
As some of you may already know, the Bonneville Power Administration is proposing some large power-line corridors in SW WA, some of which would be located in the Western Yacolt Burn State Forest.
That landscape is the purple area just NE of the Vancouver area on the attached map. We wanted to be sure that anyone who is interested was aware of this proposal, the environmental impacts, and the opportunity to comment at one of the listed public meetings.
Please see the attached public letter for details. (click on link below to access file)
Thank you,
Jessica Kimmick
