One of the kids has a 96 Chev Suburban with the 454 in it that we are changing the intake gaskets on. We cannot get the fuel rail off. Is there anyone out there that can help us with this?

Himmmm. Special removal tool ? The GM products have used some strange / special hoses/ tubes & fittings for awhile now. Maybe Snap-On tools or OTC might have something listed for this application. Toyrocs

Toyrocs I have a big OTC fuel line kit, but it appears THAT particular tool has been "misplaced". Go figure.
