Hello everybody my name is Brandon Wilhelm and im a student at Reynolds high school and as you may have known from Mr. Moose posting it I got in a crash with my 93 Jeep Cherokee Sport about a month ago and now I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee Sport The only bad thing about this is as the subject says is my check engine light keeps coming on. I have no clue what this turning on for!
All my fluids are at the right levels and been serviced. When I got the car everything seemed fine then a couple days later it seemed like it would struggle for air when accelerating. Changed my fuel filter and it helped a little bit but it still did it. so i checked my fuel pressure and it was 10psi above what it was suppose to be (running rich) due to a vacuum line being blocked so I fixed that and my fuel pressure was right where it was suppose to be. (This was all before my Check Engine Light came on) Then maybe a couple days later my check engine light pops on randomly and I checked all my gauges, temp was ok, oil pressure ok, volts ok, and my idle rpms seemed fine so I thought it must be emissions or something small and it didn't drive any different. Until today, I was stopped at a stop light and engine idling when my rpms dropped to about 500 (usally idles at around 800) and was running real rough and made some weird noises that i cant really describe, sorry! But it did sound like it came from the rear of my car like drive shaft /differential/ axle area of the car. It would only do this sometimes while stopped. Then when I turn off my car and turn it back on the Check engine light goes off for a while and turns back on. Sometimes I can drive with it not coming up at all. I really have no clue what can be the cause of this so if any one has any leads or starting points for me they would be very much appreciated
