I have not yet been able to confirm all of the facts in the info below, but I did not want to delay in getting the message out. I know almost everyone in our club recreates in the dunes and this will effect us all... Crystal Save the Riders Duneswww.SaveTheRidersDunes.comOn Facebook - Save The Riders Duneswww.facebook.com/pages/Florence-OR/Save-the-Riders-Dunes/294886641722?ref=ts**************************************************** “Striving to Protect our Riding Rights on our Public Lands” **************************************************** Your Dunes Trail Riding Is Endangered!Years ago over 90% of the ODNRA (Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area) was open to OHV use but through the years it's been reduced to approximatelly 38%. We cannot afford to lose another approx 17%. There is an advisory committee that will turn in a recommendation later this year on how to implement that plan, which makes up a lot of our riding area that is mostly trails that run through the vegetated areas. To anyone that knows an OHV enthusiast, help us out. Pass this message by word of mouth to all riding enthusiasts and tell your favorite ATV shop to visit this website and our Facebook page....this is a grassroots effort to keep as much riding area as possible open for all of us. Please don't fall asleep on this one folks. Your riding areas may be shrunk to virtually nothing on that Saturday morning your family wants to go riding. Serious stuff......Thanx for reading.....Save The Riders Dunes (STRD)

Some of the members of the sand group I belong to (Sand Lake Duners) have been getting involved in STRD. The link below is to a thread on the SLD site about one of the issues STRD is fighting for. sandlakeduners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40244You should be able to read the forum without signing up....
