AUGUST 28th 2010 The club run for August is a atv only run. Sorry 4x4 guys. We are going to run down to Nicolai Mt off Hwy 30 near Astoria. This will be a day run. This is a new orv area and should be fun for all. You'll like it. None of the trails are groomed like Browns camp. Lots of ruts, roots and mud. It's right on the summit of Hwy 30. turn left 100' past where Bradly State park used to be. Follow Nicolai Mt road up the the gravel pit we wil be staying at. We will do lunch like normal. Sport quads, side by sides, motorcycles and utility quads are ALL welcome. This run is being lead by me. Bill Hutchens
Please post if you are coming.

If not waiting keep heading west to the summit. At the summit Bradley rest area is on the right. It is closed and there is a bunch of equipment parked at the entrance. Go 100 yards and turn Left on Nicholai Mt Rd. Follow that road 1 1/2 miles. there are yellow mile markers on the trees. Hey Bill, there is a good chance that fire season is going to be in effect for this club ride. If it is from what I understand the only trails that will be open are the 15 miles of trail showen on the map. You might want to look into this more before hand. Terry

I am pretty sure Quaddaddy is right about that one, I go to the place often for camping, and it is indeed fire season coming up. I may be able to go check this weekend to see if most of the signs are up and what the deal it but things may still change as it gets closer.
