I am thinking Sunday the 5th.. Browns Camp... anyone else? I may be able to make it. Just depends on if I go to the dunes to go riding or not. I'd like to test out the XJ again. We should start a new thread though if there is much interest.

Hi,,, Well,, We went to Browns Camp on Sunday 9/5/10.
Moose and Kathy in their Jeep and myself in my Blazer.
We had what ended up to be the best day of wheeling at Browns Camp for me.
We started by going up Ben Smith Road and took a look at Water Fall. I am not quite ready to just drive up Water Fall yet. I want to put a few trips on the truck or at least have a Spotter that I really trust to get me up. I have been down it one time. So we just watched.. and the second rig up,,, a Cherokee,, Rolled. Was a bummer to see a straight rig go on its side. Owner seemed ok about it. Wife or Girlfriend seemed ok as well... She Did want out of the truck..
next we followed Archers Firebreak,, nice trail.. really enjoyed my doubler and hydro assist steering.. and my ARB worked perfect. Caught myself saying "I love my truck" several times this day. loved Rocky Uphill and Saddle UP.. Loved the tight trail around Crushers,, The tight trails were awsome. then later down all of Firebreak 5.
I was Very impressed by Moose and Kathy's mostly stock 4 cyl. open both ends,, Jeep. It made pretty easy work of everything this day.
Nothing but Sunshine on a day that was supposed to be cloudy.
I enjoyed the day... but took,, not even one picture.
Ran across several friends up there and a bunch of people I had never met from a few groups including Broke Bastards and James aka 7n4x4dude from our forum. Hope to see some of these at our meetings and was promised a good turnout of Broke Bastards at our upcomming clean up and cruise in.
Thanks for the nice day and company go to Moose and Kathy from me. Dave.

i agree dave it was a great day to be out wheeling! being this weekend was my first time out to browns camp, and pretty much my first time wheeling i had alot to learn first of all, cheap part's suk, and i hope not to make that mistake again. bumping into dave on archer's was cool at that point in the day i tought i was just lost in the wood's with two other rig's that said they knew where they were going .. and i wasn't going to pass through camp to even have a chance to search around to see if they made it.. i was denyed fron hog's back since i broke my front axle the previous day and it seemed like my ifs steering really had loosened up from when i got there. so i started going around thing,s that seemed to tough for my self and my friend in the open diff xj.

Dave. Thanks go to you, too Dave. For leading us on OUR best day yet at Brown's Camp. We had a blast as well. I still think we could have gotten up Waterfall after I stopped shaking... We had so much fun that it didn't seem like the 8 hours or so that we spent out there.
