Thanks Douglas, I'll do that. This is my first time living on the West Coast, the rest of my 16 years in the military I have lived from the Gulf Coast all the way up to Cape Cod Mass, been able to experience and enjoy alot of the wheeling spots over there; uwharrie, Gardendale, Grey Rock, Tellico etc (before they closed the good trails)
So I've been really excited to get out here. I'm really surprised and a little sad about how the wheeling situation seems out here. Generally back east if you see mountains or hills ten minutes from your house that means there is usually decent wheeling with land owner permission ten minutes from your house.
I get out here and move to Battle Ground, look out my window and see awesome hills and mountains 10 to 15 minutes away yet folks are saying I have to drive over an hour to browns Camp to do any wheeling that is legal. Then I talk to the forrest service girl at the truck show and it makes me a little mad and angry that you guys/we have all of this awesome terrain around here and can't enjoy most of it with our hobby.
So yeah, going to an event and paying 5 or 10 dollars for the burn project or helping clean up an area to help the sport's image is the very least I can do with the challenging situation you guys seem to have on your hands around this area.
What is the history of offroading in this area? Did people or groups in the past do some really bad things to get it to the situation it is today?
