I'm planning some snow wheeling trips this winter season.
Now's the time to make sure your rig is ready. All maintenance items completed? Make sure all questionable items are fixed! In the snow is not the time to repair a previously known problem, it could become a personal safety issue.
All those mods ( bigger tires/ lockers/ winch/ recovery gear/ clothing/ communications/ air compressor) are they installed & ready to go?
From most of the long range forecasts this will be a Heavy winter with lots of snow/ rain. Be prepared & let's have a lot of fun in the white stuff. Cheers. Toyrocs

From Farmer's Almanac...
Annual Weather Summary: November 2010 to October 2011 Winter temperatures will be slightly above normal, on average, with slightly below-normal precipitation but above-normal snowfall in most places. The coldest periods will occur in mid-December and mid- to late February, with the snowiest periods in mid-December and late February.
April and May will be cooler and drier than normal.

The 4,400' level snotel station I checked has 10" of snow on ground with 5" of new white stuff in the last 24 hrs. Temps are hovering about 32f with some slight misting/ drizzle mixed in. The lower elevation snotel reporting stations, have 0" (zero) snow reported on the ground as of now. Give it a couple of more weeks & we will be ;D ;D ;D.
