I received this invitation today from Nick Cronquist, Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator for the Department of Natural Resources.
Please post up here if you are interested in attending this training session and I will forward a total count to DNR by the deadline.
- You must RSVP no later than November 23, 2010 -
If you attended this training last Fall, your certification is good for at least one more year (we are working with DNR toward 5 year certifications).

Greetings,
As was mentioned at the last TAG meeting in October we are planning to have a volunteer training on Saturday December 4 at 9a.m. Attached is the agenda which will cover basic forest safety, introduction to DNR, trail maintenance and standards, and at the end of the day will be a chainsaw training and certification.
The training will be at the Woodland high school library with the chainsaw demonstration portion being moved to DNR’s Woodland campground just a 5-10 minute drive away.
If you are planning on being a part of the chainsaw class please bring the proper PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) which includes boots, chaps, long sleeved shirt, eye and ear protection, and a helmet. Also if you have a chainsaw please plan on bringing that as well.
Please RSVP if you or members of your group are planning on attending. We have a minimum requirement for the training to take place so please respond back before November 23. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Nick Cronquist
