Thanks for putting on this run. It was a good time even if it was a little wet out there today!

Awesome day for a wet run in the woods. And even better when you get cool x-mas tree fools to watch getting soaked in the rain. Thanks Ryan and family for the fun run. Bill and Cheri

It was a great day minus the weather sucking. I still had a good time though. I managed to find a sweet tree that didn't need a winch to get it uphill...cough cough ;D My mom also got a tree as well as one for my brother so I looked like a rolling bush driving down the road haha. I had one casualty though, my CB antennae didn't fare so well and broke in half due to said trees on top. Good thing its a K40 with lifetime warranty! I have no pictures cause the rain would have rendered it useless if I took it out of the Jeep. I have never been so wet with clothes on in my life ;D

We want to thank all of you that made it out today. This day would of not been as fun with out you. I want especially thank the people that don't come out with us often Conrad, Gretchen, My neighbors, JoJo, Pat, and my Mom and Alan (My step dad.) It was great to see all the new faces up there toughing out the rain to be on a run with us (Pistons Wild.) The day started off great our drivers meeting started at 9:00am and we were pulling out by 9:15am. It was a quick trip to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest were we could cut our trees. We started up the FS53 and started seeing snow on the ground about 2500ft. This made our trek a little interesting because it was not snowing out side it was poring rain. We then started up the 4205 then out of the blue I happened to see the tree I thought was a perfect. So I jump out of my rig and proceeded down the mountain. When I got there I decided this is the one for me, but I realized something I forgot my Saw. So I hiked back up to the top to get the Chain saw from my neighbor Charles. Then we both headed back down to cut the tree. After all that was done I hiked back to the top to get a winch line so I could pull this tree to the top. After about 45 min total we had a tree on top of the cherokee. okay it was to long so I cut the end off so we had a still pretty big tree. Then we headed down the road with more snow and rain. Then we headed down to sunset were a couple people could safely leave the group and head home to get warm. We still had trees to find so the rest of the group headed up to the secret spot were the rest of us were able to get our trees so we could head home. Needless to say my sister in law was excited. We headed down the hill to air up so we to could head home. Some of us headed up over to Four Corners to get home and some of us headed out Dole Valley to there houses. I hope you all had a great time. It was a blast for me even though I was soaking wet from head to toe, and freezing cold it was still a fun day in the woods. There will be more snow runs in the near future. I hope you can make them.

Sorry I missed out on the fun with everyone. I had an issue getting the ol' Cruiser running and by the time I realized what time it was, it was too late to make it by 9:00a. My buddy and I past the store about 10:00a and still tried to catch up to the group, but it was too late. =-( We ran the route anyway and made the most of it.

Ya curtis sorry about that. We just needed to leave so we had as much time to get trees as possible. I am glad you got to aleast come out to the forest. Again sorry we didn't wait but I felt like I needed to stick to the plan.

Here is our tree on its way to being decorated with all the ornaments. This is so far the best tree we have cut in the woods yet. I also had to work for this one. I still need to figure out what’s going on with the lights. That will have to wait until tomorrow.
