So with a couple of weeks till the run and snow levels looking great!!! I need to get an idea of how many will be making the run and how many kids are going to make it. I want to make sure I have enough hot dogs and toys. So please let me Know.
First I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas And Happy New Year!! The Date For the Run will be Saturday January the 22ND. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. This run will be dedicated to the Kids.I'm hoping that snow conditions will allow us to get to the gravel pit we played in last year on Joey's Night snow run.I plan on pre running to make sure.Or maybe someone who knows the area better knows of a place that will work let me know.
Starting point will be Chelatchie Prairie store and we will leave at 9:00 AM SHARP!
There will be a Snow Man Building contest with a Frosty The Snowman Theme. We are going to make frosty live another day. They will be judged on how close you come to the song. So he does not have to be big just accurate. There will be a grand prize for the best but all the kids will get prizes.Mom and Dad can help but the prizes will be for the Kids. Don't forget the snow toys (disc's and tubes and so on)
I will need some help with everyone bringing a couple pieces of firewood for the fire.I will bring kindling. I will will bring Hot Dogs and buns for roasting over the fire. So bring your roasting sticks.Ill take volunteers for condiments for the dogs.I will also bring all the makings for Smoores. If anyone has a big pot that we can boil water in Ill bring the Hot Chocolate mix
I have an idea for an adult contest planed that you will just have to wait for.
So bring the kids the grand kids the nieces and nephews and lets give them a great day in the snow.
I will need to get an idea of how many kids will be attending. Who can bring wood and so on.
JIM
PS Sorry I should Add that this run is open to all.Members friends, applicants, other clubs. All Pistons Wild members have very capable rigs and will assist anyone. But as close as we can figure the pit is between 3 to 4 thousand feet. So depending on snow level expect single digit tire pressures. We will get anyone who wants to come in and out.Although the day will concentrate on the kids activities depending on time and the group maybe a run to higher elevations will happe
