Snowmobile Night Run Friday, March 13, 2009 Skyline Snow Park 7:00pm
We're heading up to Mt. Hood Friday night for a (hopefully) moonlit night run.
We'll be meeting at Skyline Snow Park at 7:00pm - will return either when we run out of fuel or stop having fun...

Hey Hutchens - you missed out on a great ride - but Jon says to tell Cheri "thanks" for making you take a pass and letting him ride last night... All I can say is "WOW" -- what a beautiful night for a ride - the only thing missing was the moon, but the stars were bright enough to pick up the slack... Took a quick run to the tower while we waited for the new Mt. Hood Snowmobile Club member (and ODOT camera maintenance guy) Dean and his son Nick to arrive -- (L to R) Jon Halleaux, Darel Crowder & Lance Scheidler: It was a perfect night -- although we had some problems with some vandals back at Skyline Snowpark - we caught them in the act but they were wearing masks so we could not give the police any information to send out an APB... NOTE: check out my brand spankin' new new neon green snow flap - rear-end collision deterrentThe culprit was after my dad's homemade summer sausage and was making confetti out of the top of my neoprene cooler (nom, nom, nom, nom, nom...) Just chillin' on the Timothy Lake dam under a blanket of stars -- this time including MHSC member Dean Doeling and his son Nick: Laid down just under 60 miles last night - back to the trailers by Midnight and home by 1:30am (yawn). I slept till Noon today Cool thing about night runs -- light traffic on the way up and NO TRAFFIC (at all) on the way home -- smooth sailing all the way... We'll try to get out again a couple more times before the snow melts away... Added bonus (bait) for Jon -- Lance's "chain up monkey", got a free pass last night - clear roads up & back - no chains required. I even let Jon ride home in the heated seat to set the hook So Jon -- enquiring minds want to know -- what kind of sled will YOU be getting???

Oh yeah!! The bait worked well!!! I woke up smiling. Thanks again for the invite, and thanks again to Margaret and Lance for letting me go. I will easily agree to be chain monkey any time!
Wow, what a great night, with Darrel leading the way I got to see some of the coolest stuff I have seen this winter. The tower was simply awesome with the last bit of sun light falling. The damn at Timothy lake was surreal. My son and I had just camped there last fall! It was pitch black out, so while you couldn't see the lake very well, the stars where incredible! A quick stop at the cabin for a quick warm up (dont forget to repack another flare guys), some of the best summer sausage I've ever had (no wonder the critter wanted it so badly!!), and then a quick trip back to the trucks. I am not kidding, I literally woke up smiling this morning, and even giggled a bit. Thanks again!
I'm thinking something in the late 90's early 00's, 600... hmmm... maybe 700. I'm off to do some research ;D

No problem for the offer Bill. There will be more in the future. Not everyone can go everytime its not a big deal.
Jon, glad you had a great time and crystal is right you lucked out in the chain monkey dept but I know for sure there will be other times. The chain monkey job isnt near as bad as it sounds. Margaret was glad to hear you had a great time as well.
Should I keep my eyes open for a sled? lol
See what happens when you start hanging out with us you have to start riding all your vacations lol jk
