Been feeling just a general kind of "ick" lately and needed some girl power motorsports motivation.
Clicked on the TV tonight to check out Trail Ready "product placement" spot on CSI.
Story about desert racing, and of course the villian is a female team owner and driver who they portray as a beyatch and then they murder her crew and kidnap her and try to blow her up. The motive theories range from stupid to absurd as they solve the mystery. Where is Scooby Doo when you need him?
You can go to the TrailReady link on Facebook to see a trailer of the episode.
That didn't help my mood any.
Then I "On Demand" the voice and catch Juliet Simms absolutely slaying the song "It's a Man's World".
That helped my mood improve a little.
Then I head out to the Crawl Magazine forum (where I should have started in the first place) and I find this story:
This girl, Gem, from North Dakota decides she wants a buggy. Not just any buggy or something her significant other can zip tie and super glue together on his Jiffy Lube salary and let her ride in the passenger seat - but a NIGHTMARE BUGGY!
So, she hunts down the best fabricator in the business (who happens to be in Guam) throws $80,000 at him and with her input, theme and designs, he builds this for her:
She is a huge Tim Burton fan and although the offical name of the rig is Nightmare - she calls it "Jack".
Here is another article about the story.

Be sure to check out the build thread on Crawl Forum - she has a really cool little teaser video about the buggy and her signature line is hysterical! Her forum name is "toy.box".

That did the trick. Chicks rule! All is right in my world again...
There are obviously some cool chicks with money to burn in North Dakota - watch out Kira... LOL
