My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body... But rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... WOW! What a Wild Ride!

Thats cute and all but here you go Daryl this is some real VW porn...
At least the corrado has the HP to drive up a hill! ;D
This ain't your Daddy's VW Bus, it has a 2004 subaru impreza motor. It has 170hp instead of the stock VW 90hp motor or the smaller aircooled motors with even less hp. Fully capable of passing cars while going uphill.
It also has 6.17 gearing, front and rear lockers, and full skid plates for offroading. Wish it had a transfer case so I could gear it even lower and put bigger than 30" tires. The major impediment is the approach angle. I can't get a tire on a rock if it doesn't clear the front bumper.
The best thing is I can take my wife to the top of a mountain to watch the sunset and have a romantic evening , spend the night and not have to pitch a tent. Also I can drive it to Moab and back, wheel it, and sleep in it where ever necessary. No need for a trailer and motor home.
ExCabSwap: The wind there looks horrible... Still worth it haha

poorboy: Can somebody give me the official rules for the Cowbell please?
May 8, 2016 15:26:47 GMT -8
Wyldman: The Cowbell... If you are a club member and you're on one of our wheelin' trips. If you get stuck on an obstacle and have to be pulled out by your winch or someone elses winch/strap. You earn the Cowbell.

poorboy: Wyldman, I got to see the passing of the bell at the meeting and learned quite a bit about the tradition.
