This is a Monthly club run and that meens all applicants are welcome to come to fulfill there run obligations.
This is an over night snow run. This is a run I try to do atleast once a year. We will leave Saturday Jan 26th and come back the morning of Sunday Jan 27th. If you do not want to stay the night out in the woods that is okay and you are more then welcome to make the trek out Saturday afternoon, but you must have atleas one other rig with you when you head out. You also must post on the forum before we leave Saturday morning that you will be coming back sat night. Then you must also post up sat night when you get back.
I will have a couple people that are staying in town watching the forum to make sure everyone that was coming back sat night has made it home safe.
If you are coming to stay the night and are not sleeping in your rig and are sleeping in a tent. I have some cold weather gear that you are welcome to borrow. I also recommend that we get together soon to make sure it all works together ( your gear and mine.) This way you are safe and warm through the night. This is a safe trip but can get very extreme at times. Please do not under estimate mother nature and come unprepaired.
Requirements.
#1 Please bring stuff to stay warm for three day's. (ie: clothes, boots, sleeping bag, extra socks, rain gear)
#2 Please bring a litte fire wood with you. We will have a fire the night we stay. The more fire wood the more fire we can have.
#3 Please bring food and drinks for your self for 3 day's
#4 Please check over you rig and make sure everything is in tip top shape.
#5 Please bring spare parts and tools you would normally carry in your rig. (ie: spare axle shafts, spare tire, all tools to change a tire, .........)
#6 Please bring all recovery gear and a shovel
#7 Please bring your fun button. Some times slow progress is not fun but atleast you in the woods with good friends. We will work as hard as we can to make it as far as we can in one day. Camp over night then head back in the morning. So NO grumps!
I can't explain how fun something like this can be. The key things to remember is to be safe, and have fun. We will do both on the trip. I will make sure that we make it in and out safely. I have done this plently on times and am 100% confident that you will have fun on the trip. It may be cold but you will have fun. I will post up more details ASAP. So who's goin?
