HAHA yeah right! The joke was on me! Time to winch myself out And now I can try and pull the front of the Syncro out of the hole Then Paul can get the rear end up top Do'h About 10 minutes later and things were as good as new! Once we were all turned around we headed back down the hill to a wide spot for lunch Grilling up brats in the back of the LJ The NAXJA guys back down. They didnt make it much farther up the hill then we did Heading back to Sunset Fall after a late lunch Even though we spent as much time winching as wheeling I still had a great time today. Hope you guys did too!

Yesterday was a very good day to be in the woods. Steve met me at my house first thing, we packed up his addition to the gear pile and headed out. No picture. We got to the parking lot a little ahead of schedule and as we waited for Daryl and Carmmal we had a pleasant surprise to see a blue VW Syncro pull up. When Daryl and Carmmal pulled in they said they had seen Dustin (TORX) and some friend head up as well. We welcomed the extra company and in no time the six rigs were on our way. Anyone who have driven on the 42 road in the last 10+ knows how bad those pot holes can be. Looking back I do remember one large pot hole that Steve and I entered and exited with great abandoned. Apparently the hit was to much for the passenger rear upper shock mount. This photo us staged but can you see whats missing. So as Daryl showed you we took it out. You know that moment on a wheeling trip when you know you aren't going to go any further, you've had a good day and should probably just turn around, eat something and head out. I guess we all couldn't find that moment until about 2 hours of fighting the inevitable. the snow was soft, and weird and the mountain did not want the Syncro to go any more. I was very impressed with it performance but when the mountain says no it's time to go. These may look like the same picture but I'm pretty sure they were taken ruffly 30 mins apart. These two ran some cable , tree savers, snatch blocks like champs. Plus I don't think my snow shovel has every been some clean.. Thank for all your help guys. The real tragedy of the day would be my inability to take many pictures of anything other then my Jeep. So here are some of them but to some it up. Thanks to Daryl for bringing the grill for the dogs and hosting the run. David for rocking the van. Steve for the company and climbing up snow hills. Carmmal for making Daryl cooler, being a chick that go's wheeling and the promise of my nit hat :-) Happy big game day to those of you that care about that crap.

It was a great day to be out in the snow. Thanks for the ride Paul!
Dave's Syncro did amazing after airing down the second time. He did well until he hit some side slopes that just would let him by.
I'd rather spend 2 hours shoveling snow and playing with winches in wonderful weather then spending the day at home doing chores - I don't think it could have been a better day to be out.
