A few of us headed up to Toutle this past Saturday for the March Club Run hosted by, Tommy and Annell. We all rendezvoused at the Toutle Shell at 0800. After unloading a few rigs off the trailers, and completing the pre wheeling rituals we were on our way. Didn't take long before we found snow. Dave brought out his Samurai for it's maiden voyage after some new mods. We made our way to Five Corners pretty easily. We stopped at the bottom, and watched another group attack the hill. Our turn. After passing the group ahead of us, which cost Tommy the cowbell, we got to fresh snow. Bruiser was sent to the front to start breaking trail. ...and what a fine job he did. Mike came out for his first run with the group with his 12' JK. Mike got a little crossed up, and needed a tug out. After dropping a few more lbs he was able to cruise along. Broke out on the ridge for a bit. The weather was gorgeous, and the snow was perfect. The group spread out crawling along. Randy and Susan got a bit crossed up on the hill. After some shoveling from Dave and I they cruised right up. Spirit Lake Highway. After a tasty lunch of hot chili, homemade corn bread, and cookies we got turned around and began heading back down the mountain. The trek back down went pretty smoothly. After getting all loaded and aired up we cruised back to Castle Rock for some dinner. Thanks to Tommy and Annell for planning this run, and everyone who made it out.

Thanks to everyone that made it out for toutle run. we had 4 members and three guess, Randy and Suzanne Watson from the Vancouver 4 Wheelers and Maike Riiley who found out about us through 4 Wheel Parts. This was Mikes First run as Trox said. we think he had a great time, at least he said he did. The plan was to make our way out the 4200rd pickup the 4250rd and at 5 corner hook a right and head up the 3000rd toward Castle Lake. Things were pretty uneventful until we left 5 corner, we made it up and the first hill where the other group had chewed it up pretty good. on up the road a piece the first group got crossed up again and so after watching the XJ air down for the 3rd time i decided that we would make our way around and continue up the trail. After enjoying the new 35's and how easy things had been I had gotten in the zone of easy wheelin and forgot that locking up the front end to aid in my breaking trail I got denide further pleasure and YES I recieved the COW BELL (I carried it with pride) as I had to have Bruiser pull me back, once locked in it was pretty easy going for a while. after a well it was getting pretty slow going so I asked Bruiser with his lower gears and larger feet to take the lead and break trail a while. After about another 3-4 miles of sloooow crawling we finally called it lunch time we were just past Spotted Buck Mtn. and about 4 miles short of our destination. WE WERE DENIDED the snow was would have turned it into a night run. The weather made for a wonderful day with great friends and we even made a new friend. I will try and post up some of the pictures we took.
