Met up with Kenny, Alicia, and kids at Fred Meyers at 6am on Saturday morning. Then headed out to the Lake of Sand!
Tillamook Air Museum
At "the Lake"!
Little dude's first stuck!!!
Little dudette's first stuck!!!
Not this dude's first stuck!!!
It was very very busy as the day went on
Whats up with that goober with the camera on his head?
Good good riding!!!
We were playing around at horsepower hill and this lady was hanging out looking for her husband.
She had lost him in the trails and he hadnt popped out yet. He had been missing for a little while and she was starting to get worried. I dropped back in for another run at HP hill and when I came back up there was a crowd just to the left. It was her husband. He had rolled his quad down a nasty hill and jacked himself up real good. He climbed most of the way back up the dune before anyone found him. Carmmal came running over to me saying that his neck and back were in tremendous pain and that he couldnt ride out. I said to keep him still and Ill go find the sheriff. I took off like a rocket to go find help while Kenny put his paramedic training to use helped the guy out.
Catching up to the paramedic's
While the medical staff were doing their thing everyone else went to action on recovering the guys quad.
It was a long and slow process, took 6 of us, and boy oh boy do you find out how out of shape you are when recovering a quad out of the bushes on the side of a 60degree sand dune!
After the rescue we rode back to the trucks to take a little break
Kenny and I took the little dude back out for one last ride.
Where we found these guys missing a tire.
Went over to see if they needed any help. They were locals and had some help on the way. And really they were much more interested in my bike then whatever they had going on.
Headed back to the trucks to call it a day!
Saw this when we were headed out. Might need to trade in the Dodge.
