Are you looking for something to do out of the ordinary??? Do you often ponder the thought of doing something out of the box??? If you don't typically wake up until Noon and think about sleep again until 2:00 am... This is for you!!! A Night Run to Brown's Camp on Sat. June 13th. Meet at Roger's Camp @ 8:00 pm for some awesome night wheelin' until whenever. And if your good little boys and girls... I'll bring some Hot Dogs to roast on the trail. The trails we run will depend on the rigs that are coming. It could be mild to WILD Post up and let me know who is interested in this Wyldman adventure!!!

May not make it. Heres why. 11:00am till 2:00pm at a birthday party in Washougal 2:30 till 4:30 at a wedding in Vancouver 5:00 till at a housewarming party. THEN you have wheeling. I want to go badly, but I may not have the time as you can see. If the weather doesn't hold then that means I'm not going for sure. I could tag along in the passenger seat if someone has one available. We'll see what happens.

By the way,
The Shell station has permits, last time I was wandering all over to find one but gave up when I went to 3 places. Cost is $10.50, and they do take credit/debit cards for them.

Barring any unforseen circumstances - Darel and I will be there...
Also, JD and his son will be joining us with his new 79 CJ-5 (brown m&m)
If anyone else wants to caravan along - we will be meeting at the Jantzen Beach (PUC Permit) parking lot at 6:00pm. Take the Jantzen Beach exit - stay to the right and turn into the big (usually empty) parking lot on the right that is adjacent to the freeway.
Oh yeah - we will be trailering down, so we will need to park at Brown's Camp since Rogers Camp is day use only - Roger's camp also has theft issues at night...
If you all are still meeting at Roger's Camp, can you swing by Brown's Camp on your way through???
Let me know...

I made it, adding to the total of 8 rigs. We started around 9pm last night and continued till around 5am where we then headed our separate ways. It was a good time for my wife and I, but she was a little grumpy at the end since she was missing her beauty sleep, and even caught here nodding off on the way home, haha. I must mention a special thanks to the folks that helped me solve the linkage issues with my transfer case, I hope you didn't get too dirty on my behalf. I'm just glad we managed to find out whats wrong, I always wanted to do a twin stick since I got it, now I have a reason to. We got off to a cruddy start for me. I pulled up to the bottom of Ceader trail and wouldn't ya have it my transfer case lever was flopping around like a fish out of water. It wouldn't go into anything, so I got out a hammer and my old school tire iron with a pry end and attempted to know what I was doing. I managed to get it into 4hi which blows chunks on the trail by the way. My clutch hated me, but the good old blue mountain goat lugged its way through. It was kinda hard to see what was going on which made the element of picking lines much more entertaining and fun. The weather was great for us while we were there but it did rain on some of us the way over. I am still kinda tired so I am going to keep this one short so that others can tell there story. Here are some shots that came out ok. The crew of 8 Me with tools in hand to engage the broken transfer case linkage Headed up Firebreak Five My rig resting while we eat hot dogs (Thanks Doug for bringing the goodies and Bill for cooking) It was a very fun night of wheeling. Next time I think a camping trip is in order.

Good Morning... I mean Good Afternoon... I mean? I don't know what time it is? I just woke up. I had a GREAT time last night. Thanks to all who came and Thanks to those people who helped with the small issues we had. I believe everyone really enjoyed themselves. The weather was awesome, except for the major downpour in North Plains on the way out. My battery took a #@$##@ on my camera so I hope others got lots of pics. I noticed in your group picture that one of these things is not like the other. Can you pick out the odd ball boys and girls... Just kidding Curtiss.lol I think we will definitly do this again real soon. I'm looking forward to running Archers at night. Wyldman

Wow... what a great turn out.. It is awsome to have a club with enough members and friends to be able to put on a run like this at the last minute and have this many rigs participate.
I only wish I would have been able to go... actually I just about could have since I was off at 2am.. I was dang tempted to drive down there for the heck of it at that time... only my brain stopped me.
Everyone,,, keep posting up when you want to go wheeling... It looks like you are not alone here. Dave.
