Piston's Wild Motorsports invites you to join us for the next Yacolt Burn 4x4 trails work party on October 8th & October 9th - 2 DAYS!
We will be continuing work in the Yacolt Burn implementing trail construction activities for the new 4x4 trail currently known as C-14 - aka "Old Ugly".
WORK PARTY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON Saturday - October 8th & Sunday, October 9th, 2016
The July, August & September work parties were a tremendous success with a great deal of work completed - thank you to everyone who attended to help get this trail open as soon as possible.
Heavy equipment returned to the mountain on September 16th and work will continue on the C14 trail through October 16th if the weather cooperates.
There will be some outstanding progress to check out at the public October work party.
The crew has almost completed mining and stockpiling rock materials and hardening the oxbow and will be getting started on trail obstacles and features next.

SUPPORTING FUNDS FOR WORK PARTY MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES ARE BEING PROVIDED BY RCO DEVELOPMENT GRANT #14-1809D
Yacolt Burn Recreation Plan Off-road Vehicle Trail Development
This 2-year grant was awarded in 2015 to the Pacific Cascade Region of the Washington Department of Natural Resources in the amount of $373,800 + DNR Matching Funds of $93,700.
This brings the total of this maintenance grant to $467,500 to develop 6 new miles of motorized trails in the Yacolt Burn State Forest (including 4x4, ATV & Dirtbike trails).
RCO grants are funded by your OHV fuel tax dollars and OHV permit dollars - hours worked by volunteers contribute to DNR's eligibility to continue to receive these grants in the future.
Specific details about the grant can be viewed here: secure.rco.wa.gov/prism/search/ProjectSnapshot.aspx?ProjectNumber=14-1809
