July 25th let's see a LARGE TURN OUT for a "do anything, run anything club fun day". We can run any trail, take turns spotting each other for the experience, do some winching, or just sit around on our butts and watch the buggies run Crushers Trail or Airplane Hill. We can run some during the day and some at night if we want.
Let me know who is interested in a fun in the Son or Moon event. I figured we meet at Rogers Camp @ 9:00 am. Breakfast earlier if that works also.
Until then... Enjoy! Wyldman

Here is a Video.. 10 minutes of our fearless leader Crystal in Darels Jeep going across the filter at Airplane.
Had to keep pausing video because Crystal and Kira wouldn't stop giggling long enough to continue.

What a great day! Thank you Douglas (Wyldman) for continuing to lead these runs and ensure that everyone has plenty of opportunities to go 4-wheeling. There is nothing worse than a 4x4 club that doesn't go wheeling... Congratulations to Shane for winning the coveted "Cow Bell" for the day while attempting the Airplane entrance filter. I was certain that the cowbell would be mine that day. I think they are still debating the rules and trying to give it to me, but my Jeep was always able to move under it's own power - no straps, no cables... Thank you to everyone for your patience with me on Saturday. I've been riding shotgun for a bunch of years and I'm a little rusty behind the wheel of the trail Jeep. I especially appologize for the 10+ minutes that it took me to get through the entrance filter for Airplane. Although at the point I should have given up (my 3 attempts) - the end was closer than going back. Thanks for the video Hootie - it's always nice to have your most embarrassing moments memorialized in pics and video. I hope at least that everyone had a good giggle watching Kira and I struggle through that filter (I know Shane and Ryan were entertained). When I got to the point that the transmission placement had shifted about 6 inches and the clutch peddle was stuck to floor - I figured it was time to hand the Jeep back over to Darel. Darel would like to thank Rick for spotting my fender into the tree on the exit filter at Airplane - he's been wanting custom fenders for awhile and now he has a reason to get them! ha ha ha Special thanks to Tracy for the ride up Airplane - I've always wanted a more extreme rock crawler and last night I saw Darel out on the internet searching for ideas --- maybe someday... And thanks to Winton, Maureen and Tracy for the offering of parts and tools while Darel was working on the axle I busted. It is always such a pleasure to wheel with folks who are willing to help out on the trail. I just love this picture of Maureen strolling through the Airplane filter like she's going to get groceries at Safeway. What a beautiful & well equipped Jeep - you made everything look easy! I was looking for an "extreme" picture to post - but in all 400+ pictures you never even spun a tire -- all I can say is -- just wow! Tracy (xtrmtj) takes the "bestest" poser pics! And always - thank you to Rick for your help on Friday (& Saturday). Your friendship means the world to us and we would miss out on alot of club runs if it wasn't for your help when Darel is working out of town. Slymmer is coming along nicely and it's always impressive to watch you take the smallest rig in the bunch and "just keep swimming" with the big dogs... Thanks to Leonard (from Leonard's Off-Road) for joining us on Saturday. It was fun watching you encourage Wyldman to "test" his Jeep. Also kudos to your shop in that although he couldn't crawl up all of those rock walls - the Jeep never complained or weakened in all of those crazy attempts. This is my favorite picture from the day... Since I'm fully vested now in my Acadamy Award thank you's - I wanted to thank this guy for bringing the bug spray up on Waterfall... One last thank you to Jon for sticking with us on the caravan home. I was just too hard on "Old Yeller" that day and she asked for a ride home on the trailer. Thanks to Rick for taking good care of Slymmer throughout the day so Yeller could catch a ride. Last but not least, thank you to my "sometimes grumpy" but always tolerant husband / spotter / mechanic. I know how much you love your Jeep and I'm sorry for breaking the axle and crunching the fender (yeah it was my fault too). If you can forgive me - you might get something really cool for your birthday... My pics are posted too! If anyone else has pictures to post to photobucket and needs the login and passwords - just PM me and I will send them to you. Thanks again to everyone for coming out to play in the woods. We had a wonderful time and look forward to doing it again soon... Crystal

Fantastic Day wheelin' with the gang!!!! A big thanks to everyone that made it out and to those who didn't You missed an Awesome time. Just an over view of the trails we ran in order: First Breakfast @ 7:30 on the trail by 9:30 then Fire Break 5, Saddle Up, Airplane Hill, Seven Up (only Xtrmtj tried this one), Can Opener, Water Fall and Little Rubicon (I was the only one up for this trail and ended up winching up it. So I'm probably the bearer of the Cow Bell) Here are some more pics to enjoy!!! Shane and his new LJ coming up FB5 Xtrmtj showing off his Stuff Old Yeller making her way up FB5 Crystal really concentrating... Don't mess up her train of thought. Slymmer puttin' the moves on Saddle Up Winton thought he would be a manikin and let Shane drive over him Shane taking it all in and think "I'm not working today". What he didn't realize is what's coming next Yes, that's right folk... He's being winched out by a girl ;D On the filter at the bottom of Airplane Hill The next few pics are more of the filters and the trail itself (airplane hill) Leonard don't run shane over what did he ever do to you? Leonard nice wheel stand. Crystal and Kira having way to much fun!!! All good thing must come to an end. Something happened to the clutch thingie. Don't ask me I just took the picture, but whatever it was, I'm sure it was Crystals fault ;D LOL Tracy having fun on Seven Up Before Tracy had to leave he said "Just one more conquest". So he made a mess of Water Fall So there you have it. That's all the good pics I have Until Next Time... Enjoy! Wyldman P.S. What a Great group of people and a Great club. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

OK, I must say this one thing. I was bummed to see so many people not post on here that they were going. That probably would have persuaded me more to go, though I have not much work lately to play I would ask for the future folks going that they kindly post on here to let others know there going. I hope I don't sound like a bitter scrooge. hahaha......sure sounds like it though.....Other then that those photos are SWEET! I did miss a great day of wheeling.

Hey Joey,
Sorry about the not posting up that we were going. We had wanted to go all week, but logistics were not in our favor. Owning a small business, our work has to come first. Darel got about 3 hours of sleep Friday night before I drug him out of bed to go wheeling.
As of Friday afternoon, Darel was still in Spokane and we had no guarantees that he was going to make it back that evening. DOT regulations only allow him so many hours on the road - something as simple as a flat tire, traffic jam or DOT inspection would have left him stranded in The Dalles over night. He had EXACTLY enough hours to get home.
With Darel working out of town all week - our Jeep had multiple issues and was not ready to go on this run until Rick came over late Friday and helped me fix a few things. Even after that, we still had to wait and see if Darel made it home.
In addition, we weren't confident that Slymmer was 110% and wanted to trailer it down - which at this time meant on the trailer behind Darel's truck.
My decision not to post was because I didn't want to say we were going and then not be able to show up.
In the future, I will post up on the maybe's - but be prepared that if we don't make it - swear at the DOT regulations, not me...
Sorry...
Crystal
