I would love to help!!! Sounds like a great cause. At this point I don't see a problem with being there.

I would be there for sure ! However, I will be on my honeymoon, might not be a good idea to leave the new wife to go wheeling ? I will defiantly be at the next one ! Count on it ! Please show our vets a good time, Lord knows they deserve it ! God Bless you all for helping !

Wheelers for the Wounded Plan 20 National Events for '09 Find out how you can help with the fun! Wheelers for the Wounded (WFTW) is an organization with the primary mission of providing a weekend of off-roading, camping, and in some cases fishing, to our country's wounded military members all over the United States. This will provide them with much deserved fun and excitement as they traverse the most extreme terrain our great country has to offer in a variety of the best off-road capable vehicles ever built. On the weekend of April 4-5, 2009, the WFTW program will begin in Florida. From there, the founder will travel around the country attending other WFTW events. Along the way, members of off-road clubs all across the United States will host over 20 special events for the brave men and women and accompany them on the trails in their area. Riding with the groups will give the wounded service members an opportunity to ride along in a variety of modified off-road vehicles, which will surely bring smiles to the faces of our esteemed passengers. At nightfall, they will camp out in the most beautiful parks and forests in the country. This will continue until September 27, 2009. New Jersey NOHVCC Partner J.P. Parrinello is the Northeast Regional Liaison for the WFTW. Visit the Wheelers for Wounded website to donate or see if there's any events in your area you can help out with.

Hi Guys N Gals The Event has been cancelled at the direction of The director of "The Wheelers for the Wounded" program. However, Region One of the PNW4WDA, the club Timber Tamers is as of this post still having their event. I would ask that all that are available, to help them out . Their event is going to be held near Tahuya, Belfair, WA. Click on the link below for additional information: timbertamers.org/wftw/wftw.htmBill

Not very happy about this. I have spread the word on other forums, as well as around my group of friends and family. Also planned the day for that when I could have planned it for something else. Quite honestly I would like an explanation from the director guy on why its not happening.
Plus, whats the PNW deal? I may be interested in that and able to get the others to go to that.

I am sure there will be many questions that will need to be answered.
I too was looking forward to taking a vet for a ride in the woods. Rest assured there will me discussion on this at our meeting next tuesday.
I would venture to say the region meeting will get quite interesting as well.
I am saddened to see this happen and the vets are the ones that really suffer.
I will leave it at that.
