From all my watching of Criminal Intent, CSI, Law & Order shows - they always say that if a fire is caused by an arsonist - they likely return to watch their "work"

Does anyone know why there reading all those license plates for.....are they people that showed up and parked there car to watch or something? People are going to be like.....WHAT just happened tomorrow when they see this thread....haha The reason they are reading plates is beacause the feed is scanning several county channels at the same time. There was an ambulance talking to the hospital as well a while back with a cardiac patient that wasnt doing well at all not responding to treatment.

Just depends on the individual. There was a case in Corbett a few years ago that a volunteer fire fighter was lighting blazes so he could be the first responder to the station and ride or drive the engine to the scene. Happened several times until they caught up with him.

Makes me wonder about that guy in the pick-up that bolted from the bonfire at Arrowhead pit last night right after we called 911 - but before the emergency crews were visible in the forest.

Alright seems as though the radio chatter has gone comatose. I am off to bed. Keep posting I will read it in the morning.

you have to click on the window to resume radio tranmission, it is slowing way down though. I think they went to channel 51 or 53 since DNR took the operations over.

That pick-up was a silver f350 I think like an 04-05 model with a canopy. I wonder about that too if he knew something was up as fast as he took off out of there before the fire personel showed up. Almost as though he heard the dispatch and split. I love that sound of the k9 puppy in the backround brings back good memories and fun times.

After reading the follow up post on the night run, I kinda though that he could have done it. Even if he was just pissed that you guys caught him.
Thanks Crystal.....I mentioned it above but didnt provide the link

The 2 handcrews JUST arrived but DNR sent them back home because they don't have the dozers yet....All the engines are ready and in position. They said there going to wait till tomorrow or until the dozers show up......

I couldn't help it, I had to go see what I could see. I got to Jones creek trailhead and the smoke was pretty thick. There was a sherif there blocking the road and I chatted with him for a sec. I asked him how big it was and what direction it was traveling. He told me 40 acres and heading NW towards Hockinson.... actually he said towards the gravel pit (maybe Arrowhead? i dont know). The smoke was really bad at JC.... Really bad.
I then made my way back down and around through Hockinson and up to 4 corners. Bunch of responders there, and the scene seemed a bit chaotic. I wanted to try an update, but rather than get in the way or slow anyone down I just turned around and made my way down the hill.
I didn't see any signs, so I dont know what thats about.
I did hear on the CB that the watchman got out ok.
Online scanner is saying they are sending responders home while they wait for dosers to show. Also sounds like they are giving up on "protecting the road". They are in a holding pattern for two dosers.
I have to admit, I am pretty frustrated by this whole thing. It would seem it could have been prevented with enforcement, but I guess more of that will come out over time. It would seem that as well trained as the first responders are, you need forest fighters to fight forest fires. It would seem that a proper staging area would have been helpful. It would seem that having knowledge of the area would be helpful.
Did the fire truck get stuck on a curb, or was it on a tank trap? There was some speculation (Just speculation) on the CB it may have been a tank trap.
