Though this thread would be fun to do, and bring back old memories. What was your first car, and cars to follow? Were they good or bad? Fun to drive?
My very first car was a 87 Chevy Chevette CS Coupe. It was the sport model 2dr with a hemi 4 cylinder, it had a hemispherical head on it. Ran like a dream! Slow as can be. I drove the heck out of that thing, it was an auto that I manually shifted everywhere I went. Drove it as fast as I could around every corner. It handled really well due to the linked rear suspension. It had the largest stereo probably ever put in a Chevette, it would shake your teeth out. That car treated me well and I took superb care of it. I even went to the junk yard a few times to get missing parts like dash nobs and what not. I did my own custom exhaust work on it, bad idea cause it was not quiet, but wasn't obnoxious. I don't have a digital photo of it when I had it cause there was no digital cameras. Crap I sound old when I say that! This thing was SUPER clean, like show room condition. Little fact, they only made 46,208 of these cars in 87, and they sold new for $4,995 up to $5,495 which was my model. I think it was around 70hp. It was rear wheel drive!!!! It was a fun car, went on my first date in it, and my first girlfriend road in it. Also got my first speeding ticket in it. Not a high roller car but that kept me out of trouble. My mom bought it for me for 400 bucks, and my grandpa found it for her. I eventually gave it to my brother when he got his license and I bought a new toy, a 1973 Datsun 240Z. I sold it years later for 200 bucks after my brother rolled it. All in all it was a great car.
