Pistons Wild Motorsports Club does enjoy all types of motorsports -- but be advised, we are not for everyone.
We will NOT drink alcohol while we are driving or operating our recreational vehicles and drug use will not be tolerated. You can count on us to generally be rated as PG-13, or family approved. Your children will be welcome and encouraged to get involved in our projects and your non-aggressive canines are welcome at our events (unless otherwise noted).
We want to promote safe recreation and this is so our sports can enjoy a better reputation. The better reputation we have the more opportunities we will develop to enjoy our sport. Drunken or otherwise out of control behavior is partially at fault for causing the closing of areas and to limiting the possibility of opening new areas.
We discourage recreation in closed areas. If we know an area is closed we will not be afraid to educate people to that fact. Illegal use of areas is another cause of closed areas and limited creation of new areas.
We promote the idea of treading lightly in sensitive areas. Forest trails are not mud bogs. We encourage people to know that creating or using forest wet areas for mudding will not help our cause. There are legal areas for mudding (private property and public events are two examples ). Tearing up natural resources cannot be allowed simply because there are too many offroaders and the forests can not support this activity. Forestry and Natural Resource representatives notice this damage and are not willing to allow this damage to continue. They will enforce control by ticketing or arresting people and closing areas.
If you like to have fun and enjoy outdoor recreation and recognize the above facts, you will enjoy our group.
If you have a past history of irresponsible recreation, you are not alone. Most all of us have history -- we are just aware that times have changed and so must we.
You are the past and present of motorsports. Be a part of the future of motorsports. Make it better than it was. Join Us.
You don't need to be a public leader to be in our group. Any little amount of positive example will help our sport survive and grow in the future. Even if you are just a number (bigger numbers of responsible recreation users will help negate the damage that is caused by some).
We would love to have you be a part of our group. Just come to one of our meetings, events or work parties to get started...
