I was wondering if anyone had any idea o how to fix static on my radio in my work truck. This is on the AM side of the dial only. It's a newer radio and seems to only do it when I turn on the blinkers and step on the brakes. Could this be a ground thing? And what should I do. The diesel shop never seems to be able to fix it.

Cut the muffler off...LOL I have the same problem in my 99 ford PU with the stock unit. Try www.ccradio.com I think is the site. Mike

Its a bad ground somewhere. I would venture to say its right around the radio and something is loose. Pull it and take a look. If you dont like that radio and you are that far might as well put in a new one that you do like.
Thats a pretty common problem in big trucks.

I would change the brakes,,, and not use the turn signals.
( but that is just me. )

What kind of truck is it? Like said before it might be a ground issue, or a plane (spelling) issue with the CB antinas (spelling) not getting above them for the reception... ?? Are you holding your mouth just right and or do you have filling's??? Sorry had to put some fun in it.
