you have now made public the evidence, and published the burden of proof than can and will be used against you in federal distric court under 36CFR261.54(d) by the officer who didnt take pictures or use a tape measure when issuing citations regarding bumper heights ect, ect...
three things are known to happen when you publish your outings exact time and location.
tree huggers show up and photograph your activity's
tweakers show up to rob your tow rigs, flatten your tires and break your windows.
LEO's who are exceptional at their profession show up to issue citations.
signed, the devils advocate, the kind of poisen you dont need here.

three things are known to happen when you publish your outings exact time and location. tree huggers show up and photograph your activity's tweakers show up to rob your tow rigs, flatten your tires and break your windows. LEO's who are exceptional at their profession show up to issue citations. signed, the devils advocate, the kind of poisen you dont need here. 1) From Piston's Wild membership rules - if we run into "other user groups" there should not be a problem having our picture taken because we should not be doing anything to give them cause for concern 2) From Piston's Wild membership rules - most of us don't tow into the forest because we live locally and are street legal but if we do trailer in ATV's - we park in designated (populated) trailheads because we don't have anything to hide. If someone breaks in (which happens sometimes even at Wal*mart) we contact the police and make a report and call our insurance agency. Mostly - we don't leave anything in the vehicle worth stealing. 3) From Piston's Wild membership rules - running into Rangers and LEO's is usually an opportunity to build a new partnership and introduce ourselves and our "intentions" to a potential new resource manager. Publishing our outings time and location has NEVER been a problem on a Piston's Wild Club Event - we don't see a need to adjust OUR status quo to accommodate your paranoia. There are plenty of forums out there that will welcome your drama - we don't. What do you do when you first see a Ranger or LEO in the forest? I wave and smile and if they stop - I either pull my vehicle up and introduce myself or get out of my vehicle and walk up to them (still smiling) and introduce my self. If we are having lunch I offer them food or beverage (even though I know that they will almost always decline). This practice has been working successfully for me for the 21 years I have been 4x4'ing, ATV'ing and snowmobiling in the forests in the Northwest. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CITED OFF-ROAD and I don't see it happening in the future either. It's not that we don't need your poison here - we don't need anyone's poison here if we are to stay on track with our goals of opening up LEGAL 4x4 trails in SW Washington.

Crystal, I think you are misinterpreting fry. I don't think that he is being negative, I think he is saying that advertising can make you a target. Nothing more.
