So I was sitting here freezing! I could not keep my feet warm no matter how much wood I out on the fire. I kept hearing noises to and just figured it was Sam stirring around the kitchen for something. I went and got some more wood and found out that nope… I left the door open. So I closed the door, threw the wood on the fire and went back to work. Kept hearing noises though.
There is a freaking bird in my Christmas tree now! I can’t catch the little thing either. I’ve chased him around the tree 30 times now with a towel hoping to catch him. He bounces off the windows and then darts back into the tree and I can’t see him when he is on the tree….
It’s gonna be a long day…

Thanks for the humor Jon! Thats a good laugh but I bet you cringe and feel really bad when he hits the widow. Maybe he will knock himself out and then you can grab him and wait for him to wake up then let him go.......oh a perfect world. Your going to have to open all the windows and doors to get rid of him......LOL
so much for being warm! ;D

It's obvious the bird is attached to the tree, just move the tree out side... wala no more bird
OH you might just have to get a new tree, not one that is a bird home.
OH OH Hang up a BIRD HOUSE and invite it to stay for the winter

Bird is gone. I was totally content with having the bird stay in the tree. It’s cold outside. I get that and I wouldn’t want to be a little frozen bird stuck outside. I was willing to let him stay in the tree, build a nest and settle down to a warm Christmas. The bird however did not approve of this evidently. He kept bouncing off the windows in the kitchen and dining room. I thought he’d eventually just settle down. He bounced around the top of the fridge and off the windows in the kitchen, back to the dining room. “He’ll settle down” I kept thinking. I guess at that point it wanted to show me how serious it was about getting out. For some reason it didn’t care that I was sitting right here doing my own thing, and started bouncing off the window in front of our desk. My desk is 10" from the window, I literally had this bird flipping out in my face! Bing! off the window, then off Bobbi's monitor, bing then off my monitor, flopping around on the desk… YIKES! So I, opened the doors and tried herding him out the door. damn thing did not want to go. It kept flying back to the kitchen, around the tree, in the dining room, in the living room… It was nuts! With both the doors open I managed to corral him in the living room, block off the dining room with a blanket and then finally shoosh him outside…. I was freezing… but the bird is gone. The entire time the door was open, I am running around here like a maniac with towels and blankets screaming and yelling…. And neither dog got off the couch. I was totally fine with letting him ride the storm out in the tree. Little dude has to be freezing his feathers off right now. I just got back from the store, Jeep said it was 18!

I've got a history of bird trouble here at this house... Heres a vid of a bird from last summer. (I should have got video of this one).
This year I just let the tree / bush thing grow up over the roof eaves so he can't see himself in the reflection. It was kinda cool, he set up a nest, (only charged the window like twice), found a mate and hatched some birdies.
Anyway, I kept complaining about the bird and people just thought I was crazy. By the time JT and Bobbi would get home the angle of the sun would have changed, so they never saw the bird crashing the window. He would do it from 6am to ~ 4PM. Drove me nuts...
I'm gonna have to cut that tree / bush thing back next spring, which means he'll probably be back at it again.
