I HAVE PICTURES!!!!
I dont' think we could have asked for a better day at the beach! Blue sky and sunshine!!! (not the liquid kind!)
Rick, Darien and I were able to get all of our toys down there thank you to Darryl Maunu for the use of his 24' trailer.
It was great to see Moose and Kathy down there as well with big smiles on their faces!
Bill Meyer got to try out his padel tires.
Darien, Rick, Kira, and Kenny rode their quads for the first half of the day.
Dave was able to get his Blazer all fixed up for the run and brought his son-in-law Zach for a ride-a-long...he was alos Dave's tow rig.
Rick thought that he would try a tree shot...in really soft sand.
This is the rest of the group watching Rick at the bottom of the hill digging his way out! We were cheering him on with encouragement! Hehehe
Next we went to the big bowl to do some hill climbs and to let everyone test out there 2 and 4 wheel drives, locker, and padels.
We played on the second bowl for a bit before heading to the Back 40.
Gene and Heather from Horny 4 Wheelers tagged along for the day as well.
Darien was sooo happy that he could make it up the second bowl with his 250.
While in the Back 40 Moose and Kathy were in search of a tree and decided that they needed to give a lesson on how to parrallel park a Jeep between two trees on a side hill.
With the wenching help from Gene and Darryl and the guidance of Rick we were able to get the Jeep out of it's parking lesson without any resource damage or Jeep damage.
Moose was greatful for all the help and calmness of the group and even cheers from the on lookers that had gathered during the show.
Then it was a trip back to camp for lunch via a senic route to the beach.
After lunch it was back to the beach for some driving around and suspension testing.
This is where Dave received the cow bell award by getting hung up on the log.
Dave then told Rick he would pay him $5 to try and make it over the log as well...Rick wound up getting the cow bell...But Slymer needed to bask in the sun for a bit before removing him from his perch!
Darien needed to play on a log as well to show them how it is really done.
We then headed to the waterfall where the terrain wa like a freeway now.
Further on down the beach we found a bigger toy to play on and test suspension. This is where we atracked and red YJ that wanted to play with us.
Kenny was impressed with his Polaris 330.
Our new-found YJ friends...Nader and Sonya...wanted to find a good place to jump the YJ. So we thought that the Back 40 would be a good place to find one. Nader was so excited that he didn't wait till we were ready with the camera before he made his first attempt. He caught about 4'+ of air on his first time.
All in all we had a great time and thank you to everyone that was able to make it down there. Also thank you to Kathy for taking lots of pictures for me for the first half of the day. Sand+Quads+Camera=Bad things happening!
After our fun day at the beach Moose, Kathy, Darryl, Kenny, Bill Meyer, Rick, Darien, and I went to eat dinner at the chinese restaurant (pink house) in Tillamook. Thank you Moose and Kathy for dinner!
