I had a blast yesterday, thanks for letting me tag along. Snow wheeling in general takes a lot of time and patience, and with the group we had yesterday I think it went pretty smoothly. Now onto the pics! Airing down on the 54rd (I think everyone has this picture). Group picture after lunch (minus the Ranger) "I think this is the road we need to take" Peaceful. My attempt to be artistic. Breaking trail. Bill. The back half of the group making the final push. Video of Seth(?) pushing through the last 100ft. After airing up at Sunset John, Bill, and I headed home through Four Corners. We sat there a bit and watched the entertainment for a while . Fun day guys, can't wait for the next one! Dustin

Hey Torx great Pic's. Thanks for breaking trail for us. The Cherokee was awesome in the lead. Hope you can make it to the next club meeting in January.
I am always amazed by the questionable behavior of those I see in the Yacolt. I.E. late model T bird drifting into 4 Corners. we spotted the same car twice in the time we were there. Nut's behavior.
Any way Thanks to every one on the run for making it a fun day.
Bill

The first snow for the year is here! We decided to take advantage of it and head up into the hills to find this illusive white powder. We all headed up the hill at around 9:30 to have some fun. Thanks to Bill's 1942 era altimeter, we found traces of snow along the road at 2000 or so feet in elevation. YEAH, we though to ourselves it really does exist. After the brief excitement, we pressed on until I came across 3 individuals walking down the road. They didn't have hunters orange on or any guns in hand so I though this was a bit unusual. I stopped to ask if they needed any help or a ride. They simply looked down and said pistons wild huh, no were ok and proceeded to walk down the road. That was strange, I though this is a good time to air down since were stopped anyway. I think all of us asked them if they needed a ride or help but they politely declined and said we will walk back to camp, which they explained to be at least 10 miles back, after they told us they camped out in there rig last night. I dont want to go into the whole story so we will explain at the next PW meeting. Aired down and ready to go we proceeded to head up the hill. This is where the fun began. All in attendance was the wife and I in the red XJ, Seth in the silver XJ, Pat and his wife in the red YJ, Bill in the red Scrambler, Doug in the green TJ, Dustin in the Blue XJ, Trevor in the green Ranger, Curtis in the sand colored FJ40, Jon and his dog Libby in the silver TJ. What a bunch! We stayed on the 54 till we came to a big intersection. This is where we took a little road down hill to a large opening. We played around here, took pictures, and ate some hearty lunch consisting of hot dogs, pop and chips off the back of Bills Scrambler. The snow made for a great cooler for the pop and condiments. Trevor had a heck of a time in the stock Ford Ranger, as did we. After all that good fun we headed back out to the 54 and down towards the 42. Once we got to the 42 it was back up the hill. This time the snow was really sketchy. I was in the lead most of the day till the tracks ended and I was pushing way too much snow and getting no where. Dustin in his XJ took the lead from there. Mental Note, hunny, surger, sweetie, can I please buy a bigger lift, taller tires, and some lockers for my Jeep I really need them. OK, back to the story. The weather was beautiful and so was God's country. Full of amazing pictures like these.

Hey I was one of the people walking down the road, The reason why we didn't want a ride is because we had someone coming to get us not to far behind you lol and shoot I am fat I needed the walk plus I know what it would be like to get all those rigs turned around and most of you were already airing down. I know y'all are real nice people I was up at the burn cleanup and attended the Woody's truck show. I heard rumors over the CB that people think the Cherokee was stolen it is not my friend just got it from a dealer in Oregon and was lazy and not switched out the front license plate someone picked up the other plates that were in the snow if you have them contact me so I can get em back to my friend
Also my regular screen name on here is dobie but from some reason it wants me to verify my email and I am not getting the email how do I talk to to get help fixin it?

Okay fixed my account had to make a new email, But yeah I felt real stupid for going on a late night snow run so unprepared it was so freakin stupid at least I learned my lesson the hard way don't go in the snow with pretty bald tires no jack and a flat spare, also make sure ya tell someone what route you are takin so someone can find ya.

First off I want to say thank you for registering your name for the forum. We never mentioned anything about a rig being stolen over the CB to my knowledge. There was quite a few other people up there which you may have heard. The only thing we said over the CB is that we were going to take pictures of it just in case it was. This is why we went to take pictures of it so you know.
First off we meet you three on the trail in the middle of no where with nothing but your clothes on your back. When we offer help you decline even though we have all the stuff to fix such a simple problem, which is red flag number 1 since your decision was to walk back around 10 miles in the snow and cold back to camp. You never once mentioned to me your buddies were coming to pick you up, you said they were back at Canyon Creek Campground because you asked how far away it was. You say your buddies are camped down below, who never came to look for you, red flag number 2 after you had spent the night in the Cherokee.
AS for the rig being suspicious, we had several reasons why. Jeep had 2 sets of plates one Oregon and one Washington, red flag number 3. We had observed that the ignition had been punched, red flag number 4. We had also observed that the doors were all unlocked, red flag number 5.
So to Our defense you can see why we thought something was fishy with the situation. If it were my rig that were up there I would hope someone would do the same. No harm done if nothing illegal had taken place. Again, we said nothing over the CB that it had been stolen, just that we were going to take pictures of it for a record.
P.S. we don't have the plates.

Oh and also the doors we left unlocked on purpose that way if some jerkface feels like breakin into it they won't bust a window out, The situation really isnt that fishy I think y'all are just a bit paranoid
