Theres snow in them ther hills! This Saturday I will be headed up in the snow. I will most likely be going up the 84 road out of Chelatchie Prairie and maybe ending on the 42 by Sunset Falls. Never done it before, but by looking at maps it is feasible. Should be fun. The snow should be a few feet at the least by then.

Let me know when and where you want to meet, and I'll tag along for this.

Yah I've/we've done that route before if you have very capable rigs aired down to single digits and selectable lockers & chainsaw's it is possible to go up the FR42 over to FR 38 and then down to FR 42. You would see the most elevation going that way. But taking the FR 54, to FR 37, then over to FR 53 which will enventually spit you out on FR42 (heading south/east.) I highly recommend chainsaw's, but a few bow saw's and limb lober's would suffice. All of those roads are rarely cleared or maintained and really get over grown in the summer. I'll post Friday whether or not I can tag along, I've got quite the honey-do list at the moment. flip.flop

I'm in for this adventure and can bring a small chain saw if needed. I need to be home by 4:00ish though. Let me know when and where? ?

Since I'm not a big fan of cutting my way through brush, which I could do in my back yard if I so felt necessary I think we will just drive one direction and then turn around and come back. I was also wondering if anyone has a small Coleman stove for lunch BILL ? I dont have one, for burgers or dogs I suppose. Meet at Chelatchie Prairie store at 9am. If that's too early let me know. There is a gravel parking lot on the south side of the road from the store where we can all park to meet. Link to map to the store. www.merchantcircle.com/business/Chelatchie.Prairie.General.360-247-5529/map

Sounds fine to me.
I always carry a hand saw, but I'll throw in a small chainsaw too.
Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to get my tires siped for a little more performance.
I'm in it for the adventure.

Sounds good Bill! I will bring some buns and fixings.
Anyone interested in a best looking snowman contest? I always end up building one. Also the weather looks clear for the day.

I'd love a first-timer snow run for mild rigs. Anybody have any ideas?

Bring what you have. We are all out to have fun no one will be left behind.
I would suggest a recovery point on the front and rear.
I have plenty of straps and recovery gear if we need it
run is just for fun in the snow
Right 5 n D??
