We probably are a bit paranoid, and for that I'd apologize. We see to much stuff from time to time that leads to the paranoia. As a club we have fished several stolen vehicles out of the woods, and I hate to say it, but at times I just jump to thinking the worst until proven otherwise. Glad to hear everything turned out ok and that our misfounded paranoia was just that, misfounded paranoia.
The plates where there when we went by, and then after lunch we came back down and took pictures they where still there. I don't remember seeing anyone else come up from that direction, but we went down and took pics of the Cherokee and then turned around and headed East down to 42 and then back across to Sunset Falls. There was another jeep up on top that we ran into, but they headed east and out to Carson with us, so it couldn't have been them. Did you see anyone else come up after us?
Again, I apologize.... Please forgive our skepticism, and please just realize that if the vehicle had been stolen all we wanted to do was get it back to its rightful owner. I hope you can understand that the whole situation seemed a bit sketchy for most of the reasons fiveandime mentioned above.
Thanks for posting up to help solve the mystery - and thanks for joining the the board. Next time you should take us up on our offer, we could of had you back on the road in no time, fed you some food, and had you join in on the snow wheelin! It was a blast.
Again - my apologies, and hope to see you on the trail again.
