I am with Joey, we can bring our own meat and a side dish (to be determined as to what) and we will bring our RoadTrip BBQ (anyone is welcome to use it)! We do have some wood but not a way to get it up there...if someone would like to pick it up and take it up there we will gladly donate to the cause...it is at our shop.
We are still going to be bringing the Suburban and trailer with Slymer. We will sleep either in the Burb or in a tent (weather to determine that!)

Here is a list of people that are confirmed going. How many people and what they're sleeping in:
XJRamrod - One Person and One Vehicle or Tent Kira and Rick - Two People and Subruban Dustin - One Person and Tent Kayla and Joey - Two People and Tent or Room w/ Someone Maureen and Winton - Two people and Tent Crystal and Darel - Two People and 34' Motor Home or Truck w/ Camper Zach - One Person and Tent w/ Douglas Douglas - One Person and Tent Curtiss - One Person and Tent Doug - One Person and Dodge Truck and Trailer
To my knowledge their could be has many as 3 to 4 more vehicles that are planning on coming up just for Saturday alone. Along with the people from Wazukes that will be joining in the festivities.
Food:
Here is what I was thinking... I like to cook on a open flame. So, I talked to Dan and he said that there are no fire restriction. ;D I would be happy to cook whatever you bring (within reason) on the fire pit to make it yummy for our tummy. So, if that works for you... Bring it on! If you feel more comfortable bringing a BBQ, be my guest. As far as the rest of the meal... bring side dishes for an American Cook Out and we will make little pigs of ourselves. YEE-HA!!!
On a personal note: I'm really looking forward to this. I think we're going to have a BLAST!!!!
Please keep me informed

Well its looking pretty grim for me to be able to make it. If you have been following my Locker and Gear install on this forum you obviously know why my reasoning for not being able to make it. I have worked on my XJ almost day and night, any spare minute I have I am out in the shop, just ask my wife. I thought 2 weeks worth of time would be sufficient but it turns out it wasn't. If by some chance I am able to get my gears and lockers done, more specifically the front end only since the rear is finished, I will be able to make it. This really sucks that I cant make it, but sometimes things just dont go as planned and you must trust that its for a better purpose. This is just a formal mentioning of me not being able to go. It may change but most likely not. Five

Road Conditions
The road up to the park has been graded and is in good shape. The last 1/4 mile to the camp ground is a little pot holey, but is very passable if you take your time. Dan was up there this weekend with his 30' toy hauler with no problems. I hope this helps those with bigger vehicles.

True That!!! The road (from end of pavement) to the entrance of Evans is about 7 miles and is in good shape. A little washboardy in a few spots but no pot holes to disappear in. From the entrance to the campground a little Patience will be needed as that stretch, about 1 mile has some carpet bombed looking spots but not too bad. Again, a Northwest Forest Pass is all that is required to access the park. $5 a day or the annual is $30.

Finally got an answer to our question today about the ORV registration today. I called the ranger district and they said that if the jeep is street legal you do not need the ORV registration just the forest pass. If you vehicle is NOT street legal you have to have the ORV registration.

Thank you for the info Kira. I'm finding out that I'm not as good at this as I should be.
Itinerary For Friday
The train will be leaving from the Safeway in Woodland (main Woodland exit - west side of I 5) at about 8:00am headed towards Evens Creek. If you would like to join the caravan please let me know, so I can keep my eye out for you.
Looking forward to what the future will bring.

Thank you for the info Kira. I'm finding out that I'm not as good at this as I should be. Not a problem! We were gettting different answer from other people and places too so I just called myself...which was not a easy task!

Two things:
I just picked up an annual Northwest Forest Pass at Gifford Pincheo Nat'l Forest headquarters off 112th, just south of SR500 in Vancouver. They do not have weekend pass' however.
Second...
If everyone can bring a small amount of fire wood. That wood be great.
Thanks, Douglas

I have plenty firewood so don't worry too much about that.....Less weight to carry and more room in your rigs is always a good thing . Look forward to seeing everybody.....Douglas, it looks like with just with one larger rig the best place to get would be the same spot at the camp ground we had last Labor Day. They can set up next to me. We can place tents and other rigs by the large shelter with the big fire place.

It's looking like Friday morning is going to be used for a last minute food run/packing scramble, so I won't be hitting the road till early afternoon. That should hopefully put me up there between 2 and 4ish. I assume you all will be in the campground, or else monitoring channel 4?
Also, I have a friend who is likely going to run with us for the day on Saturday in his XJ. I still need to coordinate the details with him.
There's nothing like totally procrastinating before a trip, but I'm sure it's going to be a good time.

I assume you all will be in the campground, or else monitoring channel 4? Yes, we will be in the campground. The Pistons Wild banner should be up by the time you get their. We will be looking out for you. My Jeep will be parked by our site also. Channel 4 is the number for those CB owners. Don't worry about fire wood either, Dan has it covered. Our BIG food shindig will be Saturday night. So bring what you got for American Cookout!!!
